Our Training Packages

Whitney

Whitney grew up in a family that has bred and raised golden retrievers and goldendoodles since 1994. She has been training dogs since she took her first class with a local dog trainer when she was 12 years old. During her training, she fell in love with the changes that effective, balanced dog training produces.

In 2013, although Whitney enjoyed working in dentistry, she realized that her true professional calling was training dogs. She started her own business, teaching small group classes in her garage while still working full time in dentistry. Five years later, Whitney knew it was time to expand her business and quit her full-time career in dentistry.

Thanks to her wonderful clients, the company has expanded and continued to grow over time. In her free time Whitney enjoys hiking with her dogs and attending concerts. Her favorite pastime, however, is traveling whenever possible, especially to the beach.

Danielle

Danielle is probably the last person her friends and family would expect to see training dogs.  She grew up without a dog in her home and she frequently felt afraid around dogs.  After 7 years of marriage, her husband (a big time dog lover) convinced her to get a dog.  Danielle and her husband “settled” on a true power breed – the mighty shih poo.

Right at the time that Danielle got her first dog, Whitney’s business at Milligan Valley was ramping up significantly.  Whitney and Danielle had been friends for about 15 years at this point so she knew where to turn.  Whitney showed Danielle how to train her dog, but it wasn’t until Danielle got her second dog Wyatt that she realized the value and satisfaction that comes from having a well-trained canine.  Wyatt is an adorable golden doodle that unfortunately deals with some bad anxiety and reactivity.  Danielle once again worked with Whitney to train Wyatt, and during the process she developed a true love for building a relationship with a dog and helping dogs and owners to have better relationships.

She enjoyed training Wyatt so much that she decided to cut back on her first career as a hairdresser to pursue dog training full-time.  She particularly enjoys working owners through the trying “puppy” stage and showing them how to establish structure and to build a relationship with their dogs.

Cecilia

Cecilia is one of our assistant dog trainers at Milligan Valley. Her primary job is to help in cleaning and maintaining the facilities as well assisting in training and caring for the dogs during their board and train. Cecilia has a natural ability to interact with animals this comes from being raised with horses and spending much of her youth showing horses.  In her free time Cecilia enjoys camping and sitting around a fire with friends and of course getting out into nature and riding her personal horse.

Roman

Roman is top dog around these parts. He is a seven year old Belgian Malinois. His top hobbies are biting that jute and playing chuck it. When he’s working for us he’s excellent to use for socializing the newly off leash trained dogs and showing off to clients what to look forward to when they continue putting in their hard work of training their own dogs.

Harvey

Harvey is a three year old Shihpoo who works as a distraction dog here at Milligan Valley. He is a very laid back pup which makes him perfect to use for existence/socializing training. In his free time he enjoys long naps and belly rubs.

Onyx

Onyx is one of the sweetest golden doodles you’ll ever meet.  She is friendly and laid back which makes her perfect to use when teaching other dogs how to properly socialize.  Her maternal instincts make her invaluable in guiding the younger dogs and puppies in their interactions.  You may recognize her from the puppy end of the business. She makes beautiful babies that have found so many wonderful homes. We’re so proud of this girl.
