At Milligan Valley K9 Academy, we offer a variety of puppy training options to help you build a strong foundation, whether you’re prepping for our Board and Train program or looking for support with early behavior challenges.
Puppy Lessons That Set Your Relationship Up for Success
Planning to enroll your puppy in our Board and Train program once they’re old enough (6 months+)? Great news! We offer 1–2 free puppy lessons when you place a deposit for a future board and train spot.
These lessons are designed to help you navigate early puppyhood and establish healthy routines before the intensive training begins. We can help address the following:
- Stop nipping and mouthing behavior early on
- Minimize crate whining and promote calm crate habits
- Discourage jumping on people
- Build focus and engagement through simple commands and routines
Even a few early sessions can make a big difference, and they help ensure your puppy is in the right mindset to thrive in our board and train environment down the line.
Private Puppy Training Tailored to You
Whether you’re a first-time puppy parent or just need help with a few problem behaviors, we also offer private puppy training lessons that are customized to your pup’s age, personality, and your goals as an owner.
We use a balanced training approach that blends positive reinforcement with clear communication and gentle boundaries. Your puppy learns not only what to do, but also what not to do.
These sessions can include the following:
- Potty training strategies
- Name recognition
- Basic leash skills
- Socialization tips
- Handling early signs of fear or reactivity
We believe in equipping owners with the skills and knowledge they need to raise confident, happy puppies who become well-behaved adult dogs.
Pre-Trained Puppies and Service Dog Foundations
Looking for a head start? Milligan Valley K9 Academy also offers pre-trained Cane Corso puppies who have begun their obedience journey under our guidance. These puppies are socialized, familiar with crate and leash routines, and are on track for advanced obedience.
