Dog Behavior Modification: Six-Week Board and Train Program

When your dog is struggling with anxiety, reactivity, or aggression—especially dog-on-dog aggression—it can be overwhelming. That’s why Milligan Valley K9 Academy offers a six-week Board and Train Behavior Modification Program, a fully immersive and balanced dog training experience designed to bring lasting behavioral change and peace of mind for both you and your dog.

This board and train program isn’t just about obedience, it’s about changing your dog’s mindset, building confidence, and helping them overcome the emotional and behavioral triggers that have been holding them back.

What Makes Our Program Different

The Cane Corso’s size and strength make professional training critical for their development. Without proper guidance, their natural instincts can become overwhelming for inexperienced owners. At MVK9, we specialize in shaping these remarkable puppies into well-mannered, obedient companions, so you can enjoy a lifetime of harmony with your new family member.

We offer pre-trained Corso puppies with customizable training packages to meet your lifestyle and preferences. Each package is designed to prepare your Cane Corso for success, from basic manners to advanced obedience and socialization skills. Here are our available options:

Inside the Rehabilitation Process

Over the course of six weeks, your dog will live on-site with our experienced trainers in a supervised environment, receiving personalized attention and care throughout the day. We focus on helping your dog develop good habits, emotional balance, and strong communication skills through balanced training techniques.

Your dog will learn and practice these commands:

  • Recall (Here): For a reliable response, even around distractions
  • Sit/Stay and Down/Stay: Teaching calmness and control
  • Place: Encouraging calm focus in stimulating environments
  • Heel: Making walks structured and stress-free
  • Crate Manners: Promoting independence and relaxation in the crate
  • Threshold Manners: Teaching patience at doors, gates, and other transitions
  • Household Manners: Addressing behaviors like jumping, barking, and chewing
  • Proper Socialization: Carefully controlled interactions to rebuild confidence
  • Correcting Unwanted Behaviors: Using a balanced approach to eliminate problem habits
  • Duration Work: Building endurance and mental focus
  • State of Mind Work: Cultivating calmness in the face of triggers

All of this is accomplished using our balanced training method, which combines positive reinforcement with clear boundaries and gentle corrections. Our proven system, including the responsible use of an e-collar, helps you communicate effectively with your dog, even in high-stress or distracting situations.

Support That Lasts a Lifetime

When your dog completes the program, the journey doesn’t end. You’ll participate in a detailed go-home session, where we teach you how to maintain and build upon your dog’s success. And if you ever need extra help down the road? You’re covered.

Every Six-Week Board and Train client receives unlimited private lessons for the lifetime of their dog, free of charge. You’ll always have our support and guidance when you need it.

Pricing

The six-week Behavior Modification Program is available for $3,900. This includes six weeks of immersive training, your e-collar, the go-home training session, and lifetime private lessons.

Considering the time, resources, and transformation your dog will experience, our competitive program serves as an investment in a lifetime of better behavior and a more harmonious home.

What Our Clients Are Saying

My first 2 rescues were pups so the transition at the time with the pack was easy. No threats due to being so young. Thinking this was the same I treated my 3rd rescue, 5 years old when we got her, the same and just allowed her to move in with the others…Fights happened aggression issues..behavior changes…I was devastated. I called Whitney and she suggested to me that this newest member had to learn to Co exist first before being part of the pack…I had not realized this and when I started to start over with her and make her co-exist first before being a member. The behaviors changed… No more aggressive actions and she literally realized she had to take her place in the pack not take over. We have harmony and no issues since!!!” —Maria L.
“The idea of leaving my dog for three weeks was breaking my heart, but the fact that I wasn’t able to “break” her bad habits was worse. By the end of that meeting, I felt like a friend, not a potential client. The cost was comparable to other trainers, but a lot lower than an emergency vet bill if my dog was hit or ate something she shouldn’t have. The ROI, however, is amazing! We walk with confidence. She’s happier, and experiencing new things and places because I can take her anywhere, knowing she listens. Just like Whitney said, “Her world got a lot bigger”, and I love it! She’s still the same dog, just the best version of herself.” —Ric L.
